RAVI - Accessible STEM Education
AI-powered accessibility tool for STEM documents enabling visually impaired students to access scientific content.
- Role: Lead Developer
- Timeline: August 2022 - May 2024
- Team: RAVI Team (5 members)
- Technologies: Python, Flask, HTML, Machine Learning, Computer Vision

Problem
STEM education relies heavily on visual content - graphs, diagrams, chemical structures. Visually impaired students miss critical learning because these images lack proper descriptions.
Solution
Extended RAVI with STEM-specific capabilities: chemical structure recognition, graph interpretation, equation rendering, and context-aware descriptions that explain WHY an image is important, not just WHAT it shows.
